I am a little confused regarding the pronunciation of b and v. At the beginning of the word B sounds like the english B? and in the middle of a word it sounds like an english v? Si o no?

Hola Colleen,
B is always like b en inglés. V is like b at the beginning of words or pronounced like a b and a v at that same time depending on the region The same is true regarding v in the middle of a word, a b sound, a subtle blend of both b and v. or more of a v depending on the country etc. But at the beginning or in the middle b is pronounced like a b. It's hablo not havlo.. When spelling to clarify, people in Mexíco and elsewhere will ask: ¿ "b" burro o "v" vaca ?
Saludos,
Rich
