While doing a bit of research this afternoon I stumbled across what might be the ultimate vocab study tool: 2 people were playing Scrabble in Spanish! Presumably they were native Spanish speakers but what a way to practice vocabulary in a new language.
Then I stumbled onto a set of flashcards in Quizlet where someone took the time to enter the verbs in the Big Red Book of 555 Spanish Verbs. Strangely, there were only 554 entries. Perhaps there are extra points for finding the missing verb.
Anyway, just thought I would share these tidbits.

I always loved playing scrabble. I am not sure if I can find a Spanish Scrabble or even if I did, will I have enough vocabulary to enjoy it?

Aurora, Scrabble is about the only game I really like to play. But I don't think you need a Spanish version, just let the accent or ñ characters be like wild cards. Trouble will be finding another player.

Hi everyone! I have the Spanish version of scrabble! I have played it with my Spanish speaking friends and of course they creamed me! I introduced it to our Spanish learning group here in town and we made teams and had a lot of fun. It is one more way to practice casual conversation and learn new words. I tease my friends that we can play with either board, but we still have to speak using Spanish. :)
