YOU SHOULD START WITH THE BASICS AS A CHILS WOULD LEARNING WORDS FOR EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN YOUR HOUSE . NEXT MOVE TO BODY PARTS AND CLOTHING . FROM THERE LEARN COLORS AND NUMBERS AND SHAPES , AND THEN LEARN WORDS FOR EVERYTHING YOU SEE OUT SIDE OF YOUR HOUSE ! ONCE YOU MASTER THESE YOU CAN MOVE ON TO THE MORE DIFFICULT STUFF LIKE VERBS AND FORMING COMPLETE SENTENCES ! I ALSO GOT A GOOD TIP FROM SOMEONE ABOUT READING CHILDRENS BOOKS IN SPANISH WITH THE ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS . THEY HELPED ME OUT A LOT AND I STILL LEARN FROM THEM EVERYDAY ! BUT THE KEY IS TO USE WHAT YOU'VE LEARNED EVERYDAY UNTIL YOU CAN RECITE THESE WORDS WITH OUT EVEN THINKING OR TRANSLATING THEM IN YOUR BRAIN FIRST ! I HOPE I COULD BE OF SOME HELP TO YOU GUYS BECAUSE WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE HERE , ANDS THATS TRYING TO BECOME NATURALLY FLUENT ! TE VEO MAS TARDE !

Hello Black Chulo,
What you say is very true and helpfull, I learned English in that exact way, I found that not just kids books but comics helped me a lot as you can read what's in the bubble and make out it's meaning by looking at the pictures... Also the use of what you learn in everyday situations is extremely important.
All the best.

Wonderful ideas! Just beginning but learning fast and love it. The best part of it is that they offer so many mediums to reinforce the learning.
I like your idea of books and comics but I live near a small town and unless the book store has easy to read books in spanish, the only way to get them would be via the internet. Do you know of a website to get such items and how do I know whether they will be of use to me or too advanced to be encouraging?
p.s. One other good source is to read the spanish that's everywhere in packaging now. I also try to read the directions in spanish, with help of the english next to it,
