Some of the words are spoken pretty slowly, more slowly than most native speakers. Others, especially in later lessons get faster, closer to what you will hear when speaking with native Spanish speakers. It is just something that you have to get used to. The good thing is, you can listen to the audio over and over until you get it right.
Buena suerte!

When I can't hear the words, I just look at words and spelling and sometimes, the words are just not clear. I just repeat it up to ten times and if I can't reconcile the audio and the words and spelling, I end up pronouncing it the way I think it should be. Sometimes I think it is just some kind of technical difficulty with the audio. Keep doing it. It is so worthwhile.

they pronounce it slowly and sometimes they divide the word into parts, but i guess on higher level they start to speak faster, which it is good. but u can puase and learn the challenging word alone

The spanish I hear in California is usually very fast speech. So, learning to understand fast speech is essential. If you keep listening to it while reading, you will eventually get it.
