before going with Paul I realize and please to see how he does his work properly.
The interactive audio lessons are really good. The subject matters cover everyday situations. There is a friendly and jovial rapport between the speakers which makes listening easy and amusing. You're learning by listening and also by reading the text of what is being discussed in English and German. It's the best way to learn a foreign language. I'd highly recommend it.
I just finished Level 1 German, and I have learned so much! I actually feel like I would be able to converse in German (with a very patient German speaker!), and now I have the confidence to try. I had used (free) Duolingo before, and Rocket German is so much better and well worth the cost. Understanding which verbs to use to politely ask for things was new to me - Cultural lessons like that are very important! I love the "Benchmark" tool and making my own Flashcards for study. Highly recommend!
I am in the first few days of practice, but I find Rocket German very effective and motivating, easy to spend an hour listening and speaking, steadily honing pronunciation. I already notice that phrases I am learning are retained in my memory: I find myself playing them in my head the next day. That kind of palpable retention is what I was hoping for. So the reward will keep me at it!
I am working my way through the Rocket German course. It has been fantastic. It certainly helps to immerse yourself in the language with other German resources, such as social media accounts, watching shows in German, learning German songs etc., but using Rocket German as the main driver of learning the language is definitely the way to go. It builds upon previously learned material and really does an all-encompassing approach to get you as close to immersive learning as possible, including audio recognition, writing, spoken pronunciation, memory, and flashcards. This is easily the best course on the market. 5/5. Only complaint is that on certain lessons it crashes the mobile app and those lessons are absolutely unusable for the phone which is incredibly frustrating, especially because each lesson builds upon previously-learned material, so simply skipping it doesn't seem like a prudent option. However, those lessons do work on the desktop/laptop version, so it's only a relatively minor inconvenience (though this has happened so far for 3 out of the first 70 lessons I have done in the beginner course).
PROS: I like the layout and the reinforcement. Some might say the course is repetitive, but I find that it actually takes that much repetition to actually stick.
CONS: The German narrators are a little too "peppy" which can get annoying, but that's ok. I would love to see the special characters (non-English) as easy buttons at the bottom of the text box, instead of having to open the keyboard every time. It really slows down the learning to do that.
I really appreciate a lot put into this audio course to make it a near german environment while learning, especially with multiple reinforcing sections. I am hoping to achieve a lot with it. I really recommend it. Sahr gut arbeit
Over the years I've tried to learn German through adult ed classes (results depended too much on individual teacher), Rosetta Stone (a very poor approach), and Duolingo (good, but missing some important learning elements). I love the multi-faceted Rocket Language approach and it's the method that works for me! Vielen Dank!
think ,that Rocket Languages is very effective, especially for its methodology, one have the opportunity to listen over and over to comprhend the meanings and above all the native pronunciation.
Really is a very effective course.thanks
I am enjoying this learning system. It gets right down to business and I like that.
