I learn Japanese and Spanish and hangul so I could travel my fav. place!
Rocket Language is a Great Tool To learn Any Language.
I am studying German and i like the Rocket Language Format.
Great Job.
It's a very good platform to learn different languages and the lessons are detailed! I've been using this since almost 3 years ago but I've recently managed to plan my time and continue learning Korean. My experience has been great and I would definitely recommend using rocket languages to my other friends. In fact, I already have! I'm planning to get more Korean lessons when I save up more money for the premium access! Can't wait to get there soon!
I am about ready to give up on you. I was going to do another lesson tonight, but when i saw my percentage completion on Module 1 and 2 was at 93% instead of the 100% that was there this morning. How do you expect anyone to complete anything if you keep adding new, and in my case, unnecessary, lessons to the areas already completed?

Hi Richard - Thanks for submitting a review. As part of our annual review of our courses, sometimes we make improvements to the lessons. Unfortunately, the changes made yesterday impacted on your percentage complete as we added in some new phrases and we improved a few of the quiz questions in some of the Module 1 lessons. So, sorry about that, but it is part of our continuous improvement strategy!
first time using it was a lot of fun learning new words I don't know but it is amazing .
I got to the Spanish Interactive Audio Lesson 1.6 and I give up. The Rocket Record is terrible. I have a headset with a microphone (I'm not using my computer's built-in mic) and I have problems with the transcriptions about 40% of the time - and, believe it or not, it's not me. I live in Spain and I'm often told that my pronunciation is very good. Incredibly frustrating. Also, in the exercises, they'll ask you what is the Spanish for, say, "doctor" but they don't tell you if they want masculine or feminine. There are a number of spelling mistakes as well: such as when there's no accent mark where there should be an accent mark. And I love you Amy but, boy, are you annoying. The audio lessons are much too long and could easily be shortened if Amy would just get to the point. Finally, a note to Maurice: no means NO. If you ask someone if you can take her photo and she says no, drop it and move on. If you ask a woman for her phone number and she politely demurs, as Amy did, back off. You're creeping me out, man!

Hi Steven - Thanks for submitting a review. Are you mainly using the course on Safari? or the iOS app? There haven't been any reports of voice recognition problems that I know of, but we would like to get to the bottom of what's causing your issues in case it affects other people as well. Please send as much detail as you can to customer support. With regards the masc/fem notation; we have only been notating when it is the feminine version, as otherwise the amount of notations would be enormous. Also, right now we are in the middle of a comprehensive review of Rocket Spanish, and things like the accent marks and spelling mistakes are being (re)proofed as we speak. All of the Interactive Audio lessons have been done, and right now the Language & Culture lessons are being looked at. And, yes, Amy can be a little polarizing! Unfortunately Amy and Mauricio now live in different countries, so re-recording some of the more macho style conversations is going to be a bit tricky. We are aware that these days a small amount of the content is verging on inappropriate, and we are trying to formulate a plan to sort it out in the odd places that it occurs.
TL:DR -These courses are worth bothering with and a fair deal but don't expect perfection or a miracles.
This was sold to me (by external reviews) as being better than Rosetta stone and the current market leader in comprehensive language learning for self study, and yeah it is better and may be the best all around, but it's still far from perfect. There are other products that are distinctly better for certain aspects of Japanese study, but this one is a good all-rounder.
It is very much like a by the book language study course that you would get in a generic language school.
It's not groundbreaking, but it's very solid and should successfully teach any diligent student some extent of their target language.
Given that you get hundreds of hours of lessons that you can do at your own pace I think the price is great value but I can't quite give 5 stars because there are some flaws in the product and service.
Unlike many free apps you aren't limited to 5 or 10 mins per day which means that the system can take its time to teach you slowly and methodically, and that if you have a lot of free time (and almost everybody does at the time of writing mid-April 2020) then you can do an hour or more everyday.

Hi Sean - Thanks for submitting a review. Some interesting observations in there! I thought that I would comment on a couple of things; This year Rocket Japanese is scheduled to have a total review of the course content. We realize that there are some issues and are moving to address those. With regards the romanization toggle; this seems to be working. Can you please provide screenshots to customer support of where it doesn't seem to be working? There was an issue with the voice recognition difficulty in that you had to refresh the page for the change to take effect. That has now been rectified, so it should just work. And we will look into the review system as well. In fact we are re-factoring the entire members area into a new code base, so it's timely to look at some aspects that haven't been looked at for a while. The new version is due out later in the year.
Overall seems like a good program, but when using the app or browser from the phone the audio recorder doesn't work.

Hi there; it looks like you have been using the Safari browser on your iPhone. While our courses work on Safari on a desktop computer, for an iPhone we recommend using the Rocket Languages iOS app.
Fantastic product, congratulations. I particularly enjoy the fluidity of the lessons. Conversation, additional vocabulary, then straight into practice what you just learned!
Rocket Italian is the best application for learning Italian; great dialogue and practice exercises reinforce learning in an enjoyable format
