Taking the sign language course next to someone who is fluent in ASL and am being told that some of the syntax and even signs in the early modules are just incorrect. Disappointing that I have to have her check your work.

Thank you so much for your feedback, Braxton! Just like many other languages, American Sign Language (ASL) has unique variations depending on where you are. We always aim to present the most universally applicable version, but there will always be some regional variance. It is important to know that this does not necessarily mean it is incorrect and if you have any specific examples that you would like to discuss with us, please feel free to reach out at [email protected]. We'd be happy to help!
I dont like that the women speaks Spanish with an american accent.
I would like to learn correct pronunciation from natives, not american speaking with accent
Overall, I think the Rocket French folks have developed a pretty good system to learn French, so I won't go into detail about the things that I like. The big downside, however, is how their system tracks how far you've progressed in each module. For example, I just finished module 3.9, and the icons have changed from no color to the following colors and comments:
FLASHCARDS = ORANGE (GOOD)
HEAR-IT = ORANGE (GOOD)
WRITE-IT = ORANGE (GOOD)
KNOW-IT = ORANGE (GOOD)
QUIZ = GREEN (EASY)
That is not sufficient. What I want (and need) to know is how often I have reviewed each module and how I have done each time. So I have created an offline spreadsheet that shows the following for each section that I have studied. For example here is how I have tracked section 3.4 that I have reviewed several times and self-graded:
11/8/22 = D, 11/9/22 = C, 11/20/22 = C, 11/23/22 = B
You can see that first studied this module on 11/8/22, and then reviewed is subsequently three times, and my self-grade has improved from the initial D to a B. And, instead of a self-grade, I would much prefer to see the percentage of answers I got right.

Hi Dan, thank you for your review and for this feature request. We have passed this request on to the Development team for their consideration. We hope you continue to enjoy learning with Rocket French!
1. You could give more practice with the words, before passing to the flashcards.
2. More activities can be introduced, such as putting in the missing words in the sentences, and others like those. Currently, the major way of learding is merely the typical drills. It is too much technical, which is good if it is something additional, but without the greater variety of the excercized it is too inhuman, and somewhat boring. I am also comparing it with the Babbel, and they have some adaptions to the humans, when the dialog is going on, and one has to add the missing words. So, more humanlike activities would be useful.
Cannot say anything about the customer service, because did not use it yet.

Thank you for your review and for these feature requests. We have passed this feedback on to the Rocket German team for them to have a look at.
Very poor experience regarding the numerous simple spelling mistakes and inconsistent and sometimes just plain wrong translations. I expected much more from a paid for language learning tool.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thanks so much for your review. When writing translations, we try to find a balance between being as literal as possible, while also conveying the meaning of a sentence. If there are any phrases you think we could translate more literally, please don't hesitate to send them through to our customer support team. Regarding spelling errors, we are in the process of going through all of the Rocket French lessons at the moment, and so you should soon find that this is no longer an issue. Our apologies for the frustration caused!
If you’re planning to travel, I can see that it would be helpful to carry a conversation. I think the testing is a good idea. I like the Flashcards. However, this program just doesn’t meet my learning needs.
It's so annoying. The microphone won't work. It keeps on saying "no speech detected," even when I am yelling it out in a quiet environment.
Response from Rocket Languages
Hi Hannah, sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with the voice recognition. We have reached out to you via email to get some more information. All the best!
I just went through the introduction, the only problem I had would be there's no spelling in the conversation. If I would be listening to this program without pre-study the contents, it's hard to remember the sentence afterwards.
I think RS is trying to do too much. Needs to be shorter. If you follow the lesson plans now, it takes 2-3 hours to fully complete a lesson. That’s too much for the average person. You might consider having stages of lessons - a shorter test section then another layer for those who have more time. Flash cards should note be 68. Maybe 20 of the most important, for example.
Love the narrative lessons, they are perfect.
I like Rocket French and have found it helpful, but if you're a person who doesn't memorize sentences well in order to repeat them back orally or in writing, you may get frustrated. I can actually converse in French at an intermediate level, but I'm not able to memorize these lesson passages because, in the moment of studying, their only importance is as text to attach to my brain long enough to recant for the machine. Frankly, I don't learn fluidity from memorizing but from composing my own sentences, so I much prefer studying the vocabulary and the grammar, and those lessons here are very good and give me the needed tools. I think it would be a lot of work, but it would be cool if Rocket French could restructure for an experience that involved less rote repetition of longer texts. If you don't think you'd be disappointed by this, then it may be perfect for you.
