Find out what actual users have to say about our courses through their Rocket Languages reviews.
I tried Babble first and found it too difficult for a complete novice. So far, I have found Rocket much easier to follow and the tips in the first few days have been very helpful. My disappointment is the short window to purchase the full course at a reasonable (Discounted) price after downloading the free lessons. I'm not sure I have the time to devote to study right now and I will probably be interested in buying an online learning class in the future. It may not be Rocket because I will know I could have purchased it for a lower price if I had been ready in the early stages. I also would like to find a course that has an Echo Auto App for the program. I mostly listen and practice in the car and I use my echo auto to play the lessons on my car speaker. If they had a app I could control it a little better with voice commands. Oh well, "If wishes were horses then beggars could ride." (anonymous)
Totally worth it. I was skeptical because rocket language is a huge name so there's of course going to be some mixed reviews out there (which I looked into). And honestly I can say the bad reviews are just so ridiculous, and some people just expect language courses to fit their VERY exact needs as if the platform should be sculpted around their brain. Personally, i'm very particular about learning a new language considering my short attention span with academics. I needed something that didn't feel like flat out studying and homeworky. But this really is a solid course for sure and my motivation to hop onto rocket doesn't fade each day because its not just simply studying vocabulary and phrases over and over again. The platform and teaching style is very effective for me, especially since the different review tools/ activities after the lesson isn't as simple as just flashcards or whatever. It really helps you nail down the material from each lesson.
The Culture lessons leave so much to be desired. Why waste one on Che Guevarra, el Matar de la Cabana?
Having spent hours researching various language applications I chose Rocket German. It's an amazing, comprehensive course at an excellent price. Other courses cost as much for just 12 months!
I know a little German, picked up from travelling, but wanted to learn the language properly. I started only last week and have whisked through several lessons already and am astonished at how much I've learned - and retained. I'm not far off 70 so didn't expect to be able to learn so quickly but just by hearing and repeating words and phrases, they seem to stick so I wake up with odd words and phrases in my head. Of course, some words/phrases need more rehearsing than others but you can't expect to learn without effort!
The only issue I have, and I think this is because of how my brain is wired, is that when faced with sentences containing 'an', 'im' 'am' I really need to know when and why each is used; it's these little words that catch me out. I need an explanation of their usage to help me work it out because it's so hard to simply remember by phrase and I'm so eager to be able to apply the structure to new sentences. I'm certain that this is a grammar lesson that will follow later but I feel I need this now.
Listening to different German speakers is incredibly helpful. I realize that I've picked up bad habits and this is helping me to adjust my pronounciation quite quickly.
Overall, brilliant course. Can't recommend highly enough.
This is so good in scool I was the cleverest in the whole school because of this helpful app I always go on it and i learn different languages each week so THANK YOU
I have been studying Japanese through various methods for about 2 years. Having completed most of the first level of Rocket Japanese, I am impressed with the format used. Everything is broken down nicely, and appeals to multiple learning styles. I like that fact that I can go back, and review the dialogs, and practice them in real time, with grading on pronunciation. This is a key feature for me, as it greatly improves my conversational flow. The only thing that I see as a detractor is that the speed of the dialog is still rather slow in comparison to actual spoken Japanese. It is still fast enough to leave me tongue tied if practicing conversation, though. Overall, this is one of the best. I have tried multiple other methods, and Rocket Japanese ranks as my number 1/2!
For a year I was using an app that only taught me words and short phases. In a very short period of time Rocket has taught me how to hold conversations. I still have a long way to go, but I am now confident in my goal of becoming fluent in spanish.
I've taken up to the Advanced II level of Japanese classes at my university. I made the decision to stop taking classes and self-study so that I would graduate sooner. For someone with ADHD like me, Rocket Languages is perfect! There's much more structure that Rosetta Stone or JapanesePod101, and it's more accurate than Duolingo. As long as you purchase during one of the sales, it's a great deal for the price and perfect for self-study or supplementing classes!
I want to learning a language of Chinese or others language to I am interested .
Rocket languages has helped me a lot with my spelling and is way better than YouTube. I recommend this to all the people who want to learn a new language. bonjour
