rocket languages is really nice and works pretty well and before i was using duolingo and i thought it was the best japanese learning app until i found out about this.

- Japanese Level 1 -
Overall, as someone who struggles to organise myself this course is perfect for me as the modules are very well structured and cover most aspects - listening, vocabulary, writing, grammar. I didn't purchase the course full price as there were discounts, making it even more worth it for the price especially as it is a lifetime subscription!
The classes are easy to follow and progressive, repetitions of vocabulary or grammar are very well incorporated in lessions so it's not annoying and it helps memorize better the information. The flashcards and other tools are also very helpful to complete the learning.
There are a few things I think can be improved though, like the application as it doesn't have some features that the browser version has (especially the saved vocabulary flash cards, which I personnally think are more useful on the go to revise). In the audio lessons, the dialogue transcript is in romanji which I think is good to start but it would be nice to have an option to change it to hiragana/kanji to get more used to it, or to slowly progressively get rid of the romanji as the lessons go on.

I wanted to begin learning Japanese and wasn't sure where to start, but this course has been great and helped very much! The guided lessons and structure are awesome but the additional information and other learning formats with each lesson (flashcards/speaking practice/etc) really make the course that much better because I can go down rabbit holes of info whenever I want to but have a main structure to come back to as well. I haven't made it very far yet but am loving the beginning!

The courses are educational and fun. I like how Rocket Languages focuses on hearing, speaking, and reading all at the same time; it really helps remember and learn about the language. I have so far really enjoyed learning with it, as well as with some extra resources.

the kanji test in the first lesson is a little too advance

Hi Tony, we don't expect beginners to Japanese to know kanji right away, but we still feel it's important to include these tests so that our users can go back at a later date once they have learned some of the kanji. As such, these tests do not count towards completion, and you can simply skip them if you have not yet learned the kanji. All the best!
Helps me remember what I learned especially with the lessons that have audio files so that I can learn how to say it

this is incredibly easy. i thought it wouldve been very difficult to learn japanese but this site has made it a thousand times easier for me. love it. 10/10

At first I thought that Rocket Japanese was a great course. However, I became very disappointed with the way they structure things. The conversations are very limited and the grammar is poorly explained. Japanese is a very structured and logical language and Rocket Japanese does a poor job of conveying the structure. I am overall very disappointed with the course.
I bought the entire Japanese course, yet Rocket continues to send me marketing and promotional emails telling me to buy their japanese course when I already have.
