Sugoi to listen to our own voice... A little too quick with the kanji...

After stopping for a while, I recently picked up this course again, and wow, have I learned a lot in such a short period of time. Even though my native language (Mandarin/Cantonese) is more similar to Japanese than a lot of languages, the language is still quite difficult to learn. However, it was easy to start again because everything about this website was very easy, efficient, and satisfying to use. Overall, this is a very underrated language learning tool. :)

I'm greatly enjoying the experience, but i wish the tests were more comprehensive. the tests only consist of 5 questions, nothing difficult, nothing that requires a lot of memory, and they're not randomized (the position of the answer) so it's difficult not to remember the position of the answer vs the actual answer itself after the first time.

In Japan since three weeks ago. To prepare,
I worked on a subset of Rocket Japanese Level 1 dialogues, and language and culture lessons, that focus on greetings; train, bus, taxi travel; food and drink; grocery and convenience stores; visiting cultural attractions, checking in at hotels. Plus reading and writing hiragana and katakana.
With that, independent travel in Japan has been easy and fun. Hurrah for Rocket Japanese!

Extremely satisfied, considering the amount of hours I have already poured into this it was more than worth the price.

I would purchase it again, and would purchase add-ons/expansions, and have already recommended it to others.

Rocket Japanese is great! It makes learning a language less frustrating by starting with the basics and building upon it. Although, I would like it if users could befriend other users and have an additional leaderboard for them and their friends. Anyhow, it is very helpful and efficient and I would like to thank Sayaka, Shota, Sam, and all the others for their work:

When it comes to learning Japanese as complete beginner, pronunciation, listening and speaking are very important to me. Rocket Japanese provides very good speaking exercises along with microphone input that accepts the speech if pronunciation is correct.

this is a very good website to learn on i feel way more confident with my japanese and now i can understand what my japanese friends are saying

Rocket Japanese has been wonderful and fun and excellent at keeping me engaged and coming back. With the emphasis on speaking and pronunciation and practical language, I feel like I'm learning the important parts first. Highly recommended and I'm excited to keep going on my journey towards being a polyglot with this program.

So far I've only done the first lesson. Everything was good except the hiragana 'de' in dekimashita was missing a dakuten (") so I read it as tekimashita. I don't know if that is intentional or not. This was in the Getting started - Extra: sort kana section.
