Very good. Could do with a bit more written directions of what to do as you progress through the section exercises, but so far the course is good! I particularly like the repetition, it helps to reinforce as you go along!
Only a beginner, on the first lesson, have spent 3 or so hours, reviewing words & phrases. I'm an old dog (60) and have some trouble retaining, such as spelling and remembering odd words like articles, and punctuation, so far, makes little sense. The extra phrases are hard, so far. I expect to build on those in the future, which should help. It's all new to me now, little to build on. Program works well and is immediately accessible. Have not used customer service yet but setup was fast and went perfectly — no problems.
very fun really helped i think that the price is very high though because i am only a child and i do not have that sort of money

Hi Safia, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear that you have found our Rocket French course helpful. We understand that our pricing may seem high. However, we have made the decision to offer our courses for a one-time fee that provides you with lifetime access, not a subscription, because we believe that learning a language is a lifelong commitment. We wish you all the best with your French language learning!
Like the structure of the course, particularly appreciate the interactive audio and pronunciation checks. Ability to burn courses to MP3 invaluable for learning on the run. Have recommended to others.
After taking a few Japanese courses in college, I ended up moving and having no access to formal instruction. While I was able to learn a few words here and there through various internet sources, most free resources give only very basic information about grammar and writing. I purchased a few textbooks which helped explain some basic grammar and writing, but there was no way to effectively test what I had learned. I was able to read and write a bit better, but I had next to no experience speaking the language since nobody around me also spoke it. So I finally started looking up instructional courses and stumbled upon Rocket Japanese.
As a full-time college student, it is a bit pricey, but nowhere near as bad as some other courses, and it's definitely not as expensive as a college course. It also covers more ground than my previous college courses did! As of now, I've finished the first module and gotten started on the second. I have a few criticisms, but they're mostly related to organization and romanization. The content itself is great, though the audio lessons start off with exaggerated pronunciation for people who have never heard or spoken the language before. It appears to lessen as you progress.
It is a great program and really helps me have the courage to learn my Chinese. I lived in China for years but I had trouble learning the language. The new Rocket tools make it easy for me to build my confidence by letting me hear myself next to the tutors voice. I will be using my Chinese more and it will help me to do better on my next trip to China.
I am getting re-started on my rocket Spanish journey for 2015! In order to help, I've made it my new homepage. With the interactive lessons, I'm not just reading Spanish, I'm finally speaking it! Thank You!
I was able to get it for free so that was awesome. I think that it's a lot better than Duolingo and it teaches you real stuff. The frustrating part is that the audio won't pick up on your non-native accent very well. I wish they had different graph options to track your point progress.

Thank you for the feedback, Kelly. It's great to hear that you're enjoying the comprehensive practical side of our Rocket French course. If you need any help with the speech recognition, just drop us a line at [email protected], and we'd be happy to look into it for you. Keep up the good work!
On the plus side, it's the only course that focuses on talking, which makes it great. I like the exercises where it records your voice so that you can quickly compare your prononciation with the native one.
I'm enjoying this course so far. It turns out that I am rediscovering my schoolboy French very easily. New words take so much longer but I'll keep at it.
One thing to improve if possible. The special character screen keyboard does not have nearly enough French characters in it. Please uprate (or show me what I'm missing).
Thanks.
