A few notes -- Distinguish between travel Spanish vs. a full language acquisition focus.
On the full language acquisition pathway:
Get to basic verb conjugation with genders earlier.
Establish the concept of the present tense.
Keep the pattern of building vocab with valuable phrases.
The product has dramatically improved since 2018 -- good work. When I ran the language learning product management for Rosetta Stone foundations, I looked at you. I like your progress.

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear your perspective on our Rocket Spanish course. We have divided our course into Audio lessons, where you'll focus on speaking and listening. These lessons cover topics that you might find more relevant to travel or will teach you the basics if you plan to spend a few weeks in a Spanish-speaking country. Language and Culture lessons, on the other hand, are designed to guide users through more in-depth grammar alongside what is covered in the Audio lessons. Many of the topics you've mentioned are explicitly addressed in the Language and Culture lessons in the latter half of Module 1. We want the course to be accessible to users who are learning a second language for the first time. Therefore, to begin with, we provide examples of the present tense in the Audio lessons without getting bogged down in grammar. This way, when we dive into a more detailed explanation, learners can make connections to what they have already seen. In other words, our approach is to ease learners into grammar rather than overwhelming them with jargon that might be inaccessible. I hope this helps explain some of the ethos of our course. I have been learning french on and off for years and know a lot of vocab and the basics but was lazy with grammar and sentence structure. I have done a fair few apps and podcasts but Rocket French is the best I have used for building structure in all areas. I love it and would recommend it. It is interestijng , well paced and covers a wide range of topics and phrases.
Areas for improvement - As per a lot of other reviews, I can't use the speach areas on my laptop as it doesn't pick them up well (it's better with headphones but still not great) however it works fine on my phone so I just use that for speach.
Other niggle is that the French pronounciation of the American presenter/ introducer is so awful. The two french role players are understandably great but I'm suprised Rocket French used someone who pronounces so many french words and phrases so badly. It's less of an issue as you then hear the french role players covering it in the role play so you hear how it should be said but it is poor someone who does not have good pronounciation has been used for a good quality paying product - which overall all Rocket French absolutely is.

Very good course. Lots of content. Sometimes the solo speaking section is a bit redundant. Simulated dialogue would be most helpful.

If you're looking for something a bit more challenging, check out Rocket Spanish Play the Part—it's based on a variety of authentic conversations you might encounter if you lived in a Spanish-speaking country!
I guess for emerging technology, it is not too bad. But the speaking section is extremely frustrating. I was shouting my phrases and was advised "no speech detected". Very frustrating. But overall, I'm keen to continue for the moment.

Very nice learning program. Love the pronunciation practice. My only complaint it the prompt that interrupt you while taking a lessong to ask you to write a review.

Although I am progressing in the course, I don't like the fact that the introduction of new vocabulary (flashcards, etc.) is not accompanied by images and figures.
Images are a resource that helps a lot in memorizing new words/terms and it doesn't seem to be very difficult to include in the course, especially for the price charged for it.

However, since our course caters to a wide range of learning styles and considering the numerous flashcards throughout the course, we cannot implement this right away. Please know that your suggestion has been noted, and in the meantime, we recommend checking out the Saved Vocab feature in the Tools section. This feature allows you to download a unique vocabulary list to which you can add your own images after downloading. All the best!
