Taking the sign language course next to someone who is fluent in ASL and am being told that some of the syntax and even signs in the early modules are just incorrect. Disappointing that I have to have her check your work.

We always aim to present the most universally applicable version, but there will always be some regional variance. I have had some experience with Sign Language classes and have also used ASL from other sites. This is a great learning experience even for someone just to use as a refresher. I have enjoyed the course and am excited to continue.

The concepts are clearly presented and the videos build well on each other. I am learning a lot quickly.
There isn't an easy way for me to learn ASL and this has been incredibly helpful to me. This is like Duolingo for ASL.
Rocket Language is something I never thought I would come across. Now, I can communicate with other deaf people, even though i'm not deaf. Thanks Rocket Language (and Youtube for helping me find that out) for helping me with sign language!

For the price, this course is what you'd expect. It's easy to navigate through the website and the accessibility/readability is very good.
As someone taking this ASL course to refresh previous knowledge I had learned, I found it a bit hard to follow at times. I do wish the multiple choice translation quizzes involved new terms/phrases to translate, rather than the exact same videos used in the lesson module. It would be better for actual comprehension and translation practice, rather than memorizing what we just read on a previous screen.
