I have been learning German and I am happy with the results as I can understand some words now when I listen to German conversation or song. I only finished Module 1, so no a bad start. I highly recommend the Rocket school of learning a new language.
I've had Rocket German German since 2009, and think it's excellent.
Being able to sit on the train, listening to the German *and* English being spoken, often with interesting explanations, it's been really useful.
Excellent value for money, and I have recommended it to other ex-pats who, like me, have moved to Zurich.
I have been enjoying my Rocket Languages courses. They are a good blend of grammar, vocabulary, and speaking. In my opinion unless one tries to speak the language they are trying to learn not much progress will be made. This in my opinion is where Rocket Language courses shine! My goal is to be able to understand and to be able to speak German and French in a year. With Rocket Language courses I think this is possible!
I began studying German 2 years ago, going from the online course Linq to Michel Thomas' CDs (Total and Perfect courses), and now have come to Rocket German. These other courses offered a very good foundation, but I now look forward to quickly acquiring more of a spontaneous, conversational facility with the language. I'd strongly recommend Rocket courses to others.
it easy to me learning german ...good assisting for helping me pronouns verbs...........................................................................................................................................................................................
i am the student who start to learn the germany language and when i start it i saw ur ling in google and i tryed to see how is it and i really liked so much your site and thank you so much for your helping i would like to see everything in your page . can you please help more more without payment. thanks have a nice day
I just went through the introduction, the only problem I had would be there's no spelling in the conversation. If I would be listening to this program without pre-study the contents, it's hard to remember the sentence afterwards.
I lived in Germany for a many years well and really didn't put my best foot forward into learning the language and then I had to go to the school and learn it. It was rather difficult because there were many different cultures in the class. Asking the teacher a question became impossible with so many people asking questions in they're native tongue can be overwhelming. I became discouraged and didn't put more into learning.
My job didn't require me to speak Deutsche so why bother, but then I needed it for every day life in order to go shopping going on the transit and so forth. I made another attempt and some of it stuck.
Present day... I'm looking to move back to Deutschland in the near future and I wanted to do allot better...
This time round I wanted to know more than what I had.
I started searching the web for learning schools but that was too pricey and the times were conducive to my job.
So the search went on and I wasn't getting no where.
I went on youtube and did my search and there advert sent me to Rosetta Stone...
The first thing I do is read the reviews and if I don't get a good vibe I move on...
Glad that I did...
I have just returned to Rocket German after a break of a few months and what a change for the better. As far as I can tell everything in both the Android app and the Windows version now functions flawlessly. I can take advantage of all the features and learning German with Rocket Languages has become a pleasure again. Rocket German is definitely my language learning programme of choice.
It really works too. I am currently visting Germany and can understand most of what is said. More surprisingly Germans even seem to understand me, which has not always been the case in the past. In fact I am so pleased that I am seriously considering trying the French version to see if it will help me brush up my very rusty French.
Rocket Languages caters perfectly to my learning style. I can't just absorb language by osmosis, I need to have things explained to me and I need to have it repeated.
Rocket Languages explains the subjects it's teaching without expecting me to have any background in linguistics. I feel like I've learned and retained so much already!
