I very much enjoy the interactive audio lessons in Rocket German. Paul and Nik are a kick!
The program as a whole has a lot of useful phrases and is much more up to date than, say, Rosetta Stone
I wish the quizes had more questions
I would like to do the voice recognition but Mac Computers do not do well with Google Chrome so I do the best I can without it.
This site is by far most straight forward and easy method for language learning. I'm really impressed with the design, very sleek. Best part is audio courses keep you talking and thinking in language you are learning.
I love how they hit learning from every angle. Regardless of what type of learner you are - visual, audio or physical, you are exposed to the type of learning best suited for you, and your learning is enhanced by the other techniques. The price did seem high, but based on the length of time I'll be using this program and the value it'll bring to my life, the cost seems more reasonable than the initial price tag appeared to be. Great program overall. I'm already looking forward to learning a new language after I have mastered German.
Rocket languages has been so helpful to me. So much content to tackle and lots of helpful activities for me to reinforce my knowledge. The structure of the audio lessons is great and the narrators enunciate multiple times to make sure I get the pronunciation right. For motivation, the point system establishes an attainable goal that makes you feel like you really are learning. Can't wait to get back to Europe and start using all of my new German knowledge!
Rocket Languages is a very interactive way to learn this language. There is a ton of verbal repetition that you may go over. While trying to cram as much in three months as possible, I think the structure also helps when trying to communicate peer to peer which is where many learning softwares fall short.
Great language learning program. I've been using it to learn German and I have made more progress then I ever did with Pimsleur, Fluenz and Rosetta Stone. The lessons are challenging and the recordings are interesting. If I was ever going to learn another language would definitely start with Rocket.
Rocket Languages is a very useful program. I've only had it for a short time and I'm already impressed with the content. It is the most affordable language program out there, and also has some the best content I have seen from a language program.
It's very useful for jump starting your conversational skills, and it goes over a variety of subjects. The content is awesome, but I am the most impressed about the affordability of this program, would recommend to anyone on a budget.
I am taking the German level 1. I did study German in school 30years ago. That said I haven't used it since so that is alot of rust. The we learned back then was vocabulary then simple sentence like 'See Spot run.'. I felt that this was more converstational and more useful than 3 years of highschool German. I also like the fact they give you some normal German saying versus the formal style I learned. I feel after lesson 1, I could atleast not embarass myself and look forward to building on that foundation.
My learning journey using Rocket Languages was terrific! It was amazing, indeed. The tools were very effective and you could easily see that there was a lot of planning and thinking behind this website. Nik and Paul were sooooo hilarious hahahahaha! I loved it! 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend!
I'm just finishing the Rocket German Premium (Level 1) course and have found it to be tremendously helpful, and the most motivating foreign language course I've taken.
The most powerful thing about the Rocket German Interactive Audio Courses is that the course focuses on a conversation based narrative and sentences rather than focusing on memorizing words and grammar rules. After three years of High School German, when I went to Germany I found i was unable to construct or even understand sentences in real time and felt hopelessly stupid.
Maybe it is also a critical mass of all the previous study, I've been doing over the last eight months but in the past 26 days of Level 1 Premium sentence work, I seem to have learned enough about the structure of simple sentences that I can understand them and even put together all the conjugations and declensions, dative, and accusative case endings in real time which seems to be producing a positive feedback loop to create a lot of motivation. So I've been able to study at a fairly intensive rate. For example I've eared 82,17 points and nearly finished level 1 in the last 25 days.
