pronounce "ich"

I can't get voice recognition to recognize my "ich" in a beginning lesson when it is by itself. "Du" same problem. I am using headset. In a longer sentence my "ich" is accepted. Any ideas for getting past this?

6.4 Conversation Transcript and Extra Vocabulary sections fail to play but do record

In German 6.4, Die Erste Verabredung, many of the sections in Conversation Transcript and also Extra Vocabulary do not play -- there is just silence, but all of them record and assign a percent score.  The full initial dialog/lesson played fine.

small error in level 2 14.2

The lesson on favourite foods has a small error: Ich mag Bratkartoffeln mit Vanillesauce. Apart for the bizarre choice of food :)  "sauce" is English, unless Germans sometimes do that.

The edit function in My Vocab isn't working

The edit button, that is the little pencil next to the trash can, doesn't work. I just get the whirling dots for a second and then nothing happens.

Informal mode of address

I'm reviewing German and noticed that you teach the informal mode of address, z.B., "du." I recall that using "du" inappropriately was considered rude. Has that changed in German-speaking countries?

Pronouns in lesson 9.1

In lesson 9.1, the pronoun used for 'der Film' is 'es' (e.g.- "Nein, es war wirklich nicht lustig" and "War es ein guter Film?"). Since it is a masculine noun, shouldn't the pronoun be 'er'?
